AI transcription is not perfect

Captionbench generates captions with an AI transcription model running in your browser. It is good, but it is not perfect: strong accents, background noise, overlapping speakers, music, and technical vocabulary can all trip it up. Words can be misheard, and punctuation is the model’s best guess.

Always review and correct your captions before publishing — especially for anything important: legal proceedings, medical content, educational material, or client work. The timeline editor exists precisely so you can fix what the model got wrong.
